Visiting Ventnor

To get to Ventnor, you can take the following driving directions:

From Newport: Head southeast on the A3054 road and continue onto the A3020. Follow this road until you reach the A3020, where you turn right and follow the signs to Ventnor.

From Ryde: Take the A3055 road south towards Sandown. From Sandown, follow signs for Shanklin and Ventnor.

To get there by train, take the Island Line from Ryde Pier Head station to Shanklin station. From there, you can catch a bus or taxi to Ventnor.

If you are already on the Isle of Wight, you can also take the coastal path to Ventnor. This is a beautiful walk along the cliffs and offers stunning views of the coast.

Alternatively, you can take the bike path from Sandown or Shanklin. This is a great option for those who enjoy cycling and want to explore the island at their own pace.

The closest airport to Ventnor is Southampton Airport, which is around 30 miles away. One suggested route would be to take the A3020 towards Newport, then switch to the A3056 towards Sandown. From there, take the A3020 and then the A302 towards Ventnor. Another suggested route would be to take the A3020 towards Cowes, then take the ferry to East Cowes and follow the A3021 and A3054 towards Ventnor.
