Visiting Freshwater

To get to Freshwater by car, take the A3054 from Newport and follow the signs for Freshwater. From Yarmouth, take the A3054 towards Newport, then follow the signs to Freshwater.

If you prefer to take the train, there is a station at Freshwater Bay, served by the Island Line from Ryde Pier Head. You can also take the train to Yarmouth or Shanklin and connect with local buses or taxis to get to Freshwater.

If you're already in the area, some nearby landmarks worth visiting before heading to Freshwater include the Needles (to the west), Compton Bay (to the south), and Osborne House (to the east).

The closest airport to Freshwater is Southampton Airport, which is approximately 25 miles away. The best route to take would be to head out of the airport towards the M27 motorway, and then take the A31 towards the Isle of Wight. From there, you can either take the A3054 or catch the ferry to the island and then follow the signs to Freshwater.
