• From Exeter: Take the A38 towards Plymouth until you see signs for South Hams.

Rail directions:

• Take a train to Plymouth, then take a bus or taxi to South Hams.
• Take a train to Totnes, then take a bus or taxi to South Hams.

Suggestions:

• From Plymouth, take the A379 coastal road for stunning views.
• If driving from Exeter, stop off at the historic town of Totnes on the way.
• Consider taking the scenic train journey from Exeter to Totnes on the way.
• If travelling from further afield, consider flying into Exeter airport and renting a car.

Exeter Airport is the closest airport to South Hams. It's approximately 35 miles away and can be reached via the A38 road. Alternatively, there are regular train services from Exeter St David's station to Totnes, which is a town in the South Hams. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
