Visiting Ryedale

If you're driving to Ryedale from York, take the A64 towards Scarborough and then follow signs to Ryedale. From Scarborough, take the A170 towards Helmsley. If you're coming from Leeds, take the A1(M) towards York before joining the A64 towards Scarborough, then follow the signs to Ryedale. For those coming from Newcastle, take the A1(M) south towards York, follow the A64 towards Scarborough and then look out for signs to Ryedale.

Trains run from York to Malton, which is the closest station to Ryedale. From here, you can take the 840 Coastliner bus to Ryedale. Alternatively, trains run to Scarborough, which is a little further away, but you can catch the 128 bus from here to Ryedale.

If you're coming from nearby towns or villages, such as Pickering or Helmsley, you can drive to Ryedale via the A170. The 128 bus also runs from Helmsley to Ryedale.

The closest airport to Ryedale is Durham Tees Valley Airport, which is approximately 48 miles away. The suggested route from the airport would be to take the A1(M) south and then the A168 towards Thirsk. From there, take the A170 towards Pickering and continue into Ryedale.
