To get to Montrose by car, take the A92 if you are coming from Dundee. From Aberdeen, take the A90 southbound and turn onto the A935 just before Brechin. If you are driving from Edinburgh or Glasgow, take the M90/A90 northbound towards Dundee and follow the directions above.
If you prefer to use public transport, you can take a train to Montrose station from Aberdeen or Dundee. There are also regular bus services from nearby towns such as Arbroath and Brechin.
If you are coming from the Cairngorms National Park or surrounding areas, take the A93 towards Perth, then turn onto the A94 towards Forfar. From Forfar, take the A932 towards Montrose.
For those travelling from Edinburgh, it is recommended to take the A90 northbound towards Dundee, then follow the A92 as explained above. Alternatively, you can take a train to Dundee and then catch a connecting train to Montrose.
