Visiting Culross

To get to Culross, there are a few options depending on where you are coming from:

From Edinburgh:

Drive: Take the M90 northbound and exit at Junction 2A. Follow signs to Dunfermline and then take the A985 towards Kincardine Bridge. Culross will be signposted.

Rail: Take the train from Edinburgh Waverley to Dunfermline Town. From there, take the Stagecoach X27 bus towards Stirling and get off at Culross.

From Glasgow:

Drive: Take the M8 towards Edinburgh and then the M9 towards Stirling. Take the A985 towards Kincardine Bridge and Culross will be signposted.

Rail: Take the train from Glasgow Queen Street to Alloa and then change for the bus towards Dunfermline. Get off at Culross.

From St Andrews:

Drive: Take the A914 towards Cupar and then the A92 towards Cowdenbeath. From there, take the M90 towards Edinburgh and exit at Junction 4. Take the A823 towards Dunfermline and then follow signs to Culross.

Rail: Take the train from Leuchars to Dunfermline Town. From there, take the Stagecoach X27 bus towards Stirling and get off at Culross.

When you arrive in Culross, be sure to explore the historic village and visit the palace, abbey, and museum. Parking is available on-site or in nearby car parks.

The closest airport to Culross is Edinburgh Airport, which is approximately 20 miles away. To get to Culross from Edinburgh Airport, you can take the M8 and then the M9, which will take around 35 minutes by car. Alternatively, you can take public transportation options such as a bus or train from Edinburgh to Dunfermline, and then take a taxi to Culross.
