If you have 2-3 hours to spend in King’s Lynn, there are a few things you can do:
- Visit the Custom House - This beautiful building dates back to the 17th century and now houses the town's tourist information centre as well as a maritime museum. You can explore the history of King’s Lynn and learn about the town's connection to the sea. Estimated time: 1 hour.
- Go for a stroll along the riverfront - The River Great Ouse runs through the heart of King’s Lynn, and walking along the quayside is a lovely way to see the town. You'll get some fantastic views of the river and the historic buildings that line it. Estimated time: 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Visit the Red Mount Chapel - This unusual medieval chapel stands on a hill overlooking the town. It's an interesting piece of architecture, and there are some great views from the top. Estimated time: 30 minutes.
- Explore the town centre - King’s Lynn has a charming town centre with lots of independent shops, cafes and pubs. It's a great place to wander around, soak up the atmosphere and do a bit of shopping. Estimated time: 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Overall, you could easily do two or three of these things in 2-3 hours. If you have more time, you might want to add some other attractions to your itinerary, such as the Castle Rising or True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum.
