- Visit the Burton Art Gallery and Museum, which has a collection of artwork and artifacts from the local area. You can also enjoy a coffee or lunch in the gallery's cafe.
- Take a boat trip from Bideford Quay to the nearby town of Appledore, which is known for its quaint streets and lovely views of the river estuary. The boat trip takes around 20 minutes each way.
- Visit nearby Hartland Abbey and Gardens, which is a stunning stately home with beautiful gardens and coastal views. You could easily spend a whole day exploring the house and gardens.
