If you have 7 days to spend in Moray, here are some suggestions of things to do and places to stay:
- Visit the Elgin Cathedral - this stunning ruin of a 13th-century cathedral is definitely worth a visit. You can spend a few hours exploring the grounds and admiring the architecture. Allow around 2-3 hours for a visit.
- Take a whisky tour - Moray is known for its whisky distilleries, so take a tour of one (or a few) to learn about the process and sample some delicious whisky! Allow around 2-3 hours for a tour and tasting.
- Explore the beaches - Moray has some beautiful sandy beaches, such as Lossiemouth beach and Hopeman beach. Spend a day relaxing on the shore and taking a dip in the sea. Allow a whole day for beach time.
- Visit the Forres Tolbooth Museum - this historic building houses a museum showcasing the history of Forres, a town in Moray. Allow around 1-2 hours for a visit.
- Go dolphin-spotting - the Moray Firth is home to a population of bottlenose dolphins. Take a boat tour to try and spot some! Allow around 2 hours for a tour.
