To get to Usk by car, take the A449 south from Monmouth or north from Newport. Alternatively, take the A40 to Raglan and then follow signs to Usk.
If travelling by train, the nearest station is Newport. From there, take the X20 bus or a taxi to Usk.
If you are coming from Abergavenny, take the A40 towards Raglan and turn off onto the A449 towards Usk.
When visiting other local landmarks, such as Raglan Castle, it is easiest to drive to Usk as there are no direct public transport links between Usk and Raglan. However, there are regular bus services between Newport and Monmouth, which pass through Usk, making it easy to combine a visit to Usk with these cities.
The closest airport to Usk is Bristol Airport, which is approximately 30 miles away. If you are driving, the suggested route would be to take the A38 and M5 motorway towards Newport, then take the M4 motorway west towards Usk.
