Visiting Purbeck

To get to Purbeck, there are a few options:

By Car:

• If coming from London, take the M3 and then switch to the A31 towards Ringwood. Follow the signs to Wareham and then head towards Purbeck.
• If coming from Bristol, take the M5 and then exit at junction 25 onto the A358 towards Ilminster. From there, take the A303 towards Andover and then join the A34 which leads to the A31 and then follow signs towards Purbeck.
• If coming from Southampton, take the A31 towards Ringwood and then follow signs towards Wareham and Purbeck.

By Train:

• If coming from London, take the train from London Waterloo to Wareham. From there, take a bus or taxi to Purbeck.
• If coming from Bristol, take the train from Bristol Temple Meads to Wareham. From there, take a bus or taxi to Purbeck.
• If coming from Southampton, take the train from Southampton Central to Wareham. From there, take a bus or taxi to Purbeck.

From other local landmarks:

• If coming from Bournemouth, take the A35 towards Dorchester and then switch to the A352 towards Wareham and Purbeck.
• If coming from Swanage, take the B3351 towards Corfe Castle and then follow signs towards Purbeck.
• If coming from Weymouth, take the A353 towards Wareham and then switch to the A352 towards Purbeck.

The closest airport to Purbeck is Bournemouth Airport. It is approximately 20 miles away and can be accessed by car via the A31. Alternatively, there are public transport options available such as the Yellow Bus or train to Poole and then a bus or taxi to Purbeck.
