Visiting Portrush

To get to Portrush by car, take the A26 from Ballymena or the A29 from Coleraine. From Belfast, take the M2 then the A26. Parking is available at the train station or on-street parking is available nearby.

If you prefer to travel by train, there is a direct service from Belfast to Portrush, operated by Translink. From other parts of Northern Ireland, you may need to change at Coleraine. The train station is located in the town centre, a short walk from the beach and other attractions.

If you are coming from the Giant's Causeway, take the scenic Causeway Coastal Route along the coast to Portrush. This route offers stunning views of the coastline and is highly recommended.

The closest airport to Portrush is the Belfast International Airport, which is approximately 35 miles away. The suggested route is to take the A26 towards Coleraine and join the A29 towards Portrush. Alternatively, the city of Derry Airport is located around 50 miles away from Portrush, and the suggested route is to take the A2 coast road towards Portrush.
