The closest airport to Morpeth is Newcastle International Airport, which is located about 16 miles (26km) south of Morpeth. If you are driving, the quickest route from the airport is via the A1 northbound, which will take you directly to Morpeth in about 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Alternatively, you can take the Metro train from the airport to Newcastle Central Station, and then transfer to a train heading north to Morpeth. This journey takes around 30-40 minutes.
