Visiting Merseyside

If you are coming from Manchester, you can take a direct train to any of these stations. From London, you can take a train to Liverpool Lime Street or Liverpool South Parkway. Once you arrive at your destination station, you can take a taxi or public transportation to your final destination.

If you are coming from nearby cities or towns, such as Warrington or St Helens, you can take a bus or train to Merseyside. There are also several park and ride options available along major roads leading into the county, such as the M62.

The closest airport to Merseyside is Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which is located about 8 miles southeast of the city center. From the airport, you can take a taxi, bus, or train to get into town. A taxi will cost you around £20-£25, depending on the time of day. If you prefer to take public transportation, the 86A or 80A buses run every 30 minutes and will take you into town for around £2.20. Alternatively, you can take the train from Liverpool South Parkway station, which is about 2 miles from the airport and offers regular services to Liverpool Lime Street station.
