Visiting Mendip

To travel to Mendip, Somerset, you can follow either of these directions:

Driving Directions:

If travelling from Bath, take the A367 south and then join the Bath Road A39. Continue on this road for approximately 10 miles until you reach Farrington Gurney. Turn left onto the A37 and continue until you reach Mendip.

When coming from Bristol, take the A37 south and follow it through Pensford, Clutton and Temple Cloud until you eventually reach Mendip.

Rail Directions:

If you are taking the train, the nearest station to Mendip is Castle Cary. From London Paddington, you can take a direct train to Castle Cary that will take approximately an hour and a half. From there, you can take a taxi to Mendip.

If you are travelling from Bristol, you can take a train to Bristol Temple Meads and then take a connecting train to Castle Cary. From there, you can take a taxi to Mendip.

If you are in the nearby cities of Bath or Wells, you can also take a train to Castle Cary and then a taxi to Mendip.

The closest airport to Mendip is Bristol Airport, which is approximately 12 miles away. To get to Mendip from Bristol Airport, you can take the A38 road or the A370 road, depending on traffic and your final destination. Generally, the journey takes around 30-40 minutes by car or taxi, depending on traffic conditions. There are also public transport options available, such as bus and train services.
