To get to Harlech by car, take the A496 if coming from the north, or the A496 if coming from the south. From nearby Porthmadog, take the A487.

If coming by train, the nearest station is Harlech railway station which is located just a short walk from the town centre. Trains run regularly from Birmingham, Shrewsbury, and Manchester.

If you're coming from Barmouth, take the B4587 coastal route for some stunning views of the coast and sea.

Alternatively, if you're coming from Snowdonia National Park, take the A498 for more scenic views and a chance to stop and explore some of the park's natural beauty.

The closest airport to Harlech is Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which is approximately 75 miles away. The journey by car takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes and the suggested route is via the A55. Alternatively, Manchester Airport is also within easy reach, with a distance of approximately 90 miles which is around a 2-hour drive via the M56 and A5.
