If you are coming from London, take the M11 motorway and exit at Junction 5. Follow the signposted directions to Epping Forest.
If you are using public transport, take the Central Line on the London Underground and alight at stations such as Roding Valley, Loughton or Buckhurst Hill to explore various parts of the forest. You can also use the Overground services to Chingford station and take a stroll through the forest from there.
From nearby towns like Harlow, Chelmsford and Brentwood, you can take the A414 or A12 roads to reach Epping Forest. If you are travelling from Westfield Shopping Centre or Stratford, take the A11 road and follow the signs to Epping Forest.
For those travelling by train, take any of the Greater Anglia trains to Chingford station and then walk or cycle through the forest. Alternatively, take a direct train to Epping station on the Central Line and start exploring the forest from there.
Pro tip: If you have a car, park at any of the designated car parks within the forest and start your adventure from there. Some popular ones include Connaught Water, High Beach, Bury Road and Jubilee Pond.
The closest airport to Epping Forest is London Stansted Airport, which is approximately 10 miles away. The quickest route by car is to take the M11 motorway towards London and then exit at junction 7 towards Harlow. Alternatively, there are train and bus services available from the airport to Epping Forest.
