To get to Brighton by car, follow the M23 motorway and then take the A23 road south directly into Brighton. If you're coming from nearby Hove, simply follow the A270 road east into Brighton. Alternatively, you can take the A259 road along the coast.
To get to Brighton by train, you can take a direct train from London Victoria, London Bridge, or London Blackfriars stations. If you're coming from the north, change at Gatwick Airport for a direct train to Brighton. From the south, take a direct train from Portsmouth or Southampton.
