To get to Braintree from London, take the M11 motorway and then join the A120 towards Braintree. Alternatively, take the A12 towards Chelmsford and join the A120 towards Braintree. Braintree railway station is served by the Greater Anglia line which runs between London Liverpool Street and Ipswich.
From Colchester, take the A12 towards London and then join the A120 towards Braintree. Alternatively, take the A120 directly from Colchester. Braintree is also a stop on the Stansted Express line, so those travelling from Stansted Airport may find it convenient to change at Bishops Stortford.
If travelling from Cambridge, take the A14 towards Ipswich and then exit onto the A1308 towards Great Dunmow. From there, follow signs for Braintree. Alternatively, take the train to Braintree from Cambridge railway station, which requires a change at Witham.
If you are already in the area, Chelmsford and Witham are both nearby towns with good transport links to Braintree.
