To get to Allerdale, there are a few options:
If you are coming from Manchester, take the M6 northbound and exit at Junction 40 onto the A66 towards Keswick. Allerdale is located just west of the Lake District National Park, so it is well signposted from there. If you are coming from the east, take the same route and exit at Junction 42. If you prefer a more scenic drive, take the A595 from Carlisle along the coast.
The nearest train station to Allerdale is in Workington. There are direct trains from Carlisle, Manchester, and other major cities. From the station, you can take a taxi or bus to your final destination.
If you are visiting the Lake District, Allerdale is only a short drive away. From Keswick, take the A66 westbound towards Workington. From Carlisle, take the A595 southbound towards Workington.
The closest airport to Allerdale is the Carlisle Lake District Airport, which is approximately 24 miles away. The most direct route from the airport to Allerdale is via the A689 and A595 roads. However, if you have time to spare, we recommend taking the scenic route via the A686 and B6412 roads, which will take you through some stunning countryside and picturesque towns and villages.
