If you have 2-3 hours to spend in Mid and East Antrim, there are a few things you can do:
- Visit the Carrickfergus Castle - a medieval castle which takes about an hour to explore.
- Explore the Ecos Nature Park - a park with walking trails and picnic areas which can take around an hour.
- Stop by the Diamond Jubilee Wood - a woodland area with beautiful views and can take about 30 minutes to an hour to visit.
- Visit the Whitehead Railway Museum - a museum dedicated to the history of rail transport in Northern Ireland which can take around an hour.
- Walk along the coastal path towards the Blackhead Lighthouse - a scenic walk that can take around 45 minutes to an hour.
