If you have 2-3 hours to spend in Lostwithiel, there are several things you can do to make the most of your time:
1. Visit Restormel Castle. This 13th-century castle is located just outside the town and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It will take approximately 1-2 hours to explore the castle ruins and enjoy the view.
2. Walk along the River Fowey. Lostwithiel is situated on the banks of the River Fowey, and there are several walking paths that offer lovely views of the river and the town. A leisurely walk along the river will take approximately 30 minutes to an hour.
3. Explore the town center. Lostwithiel is a charming town with several independent shops, antique stores, and cafes. Take a stroll along Fore Street and Duke Street, and pop into some of the shops along the way. This will take approximately 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how much you want to explore.
