If you have 2-3 hours to spend in Londonderry, there are a few must-see attractions you can visit:
- Walk the Walls: Take a leisurely stroll around the perimeter of Derry's city walls, which is the only completely walled city in Ireland. This will take about an hour and will provide you with spectacular panoramic views of the city.
- Museum of Free Derry: This museum chronicles the civil rights campaign and the tragic events of Bloody Sunday in Derry. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to go through the museum.
- Guildhall: A beautiful building with a rich history, the Guildhall is a must-visit landmark. It includes a museum and an art gallery.
If you prefer a more cultural experience, you can also visit the Tower Museum, which showcases the city's history and incorporates two permanent exhibits. If you have time, you can take a quick tour of St. Columb's Cathedral, which is the oldest building in Derry and has fascinating architecture.
Keep in mind that there are many shops, cafes, and restaurants in the city centre, so allow some time to explore and grab a bite to eat before you head back to your next destination.
