If you only have 2-3 hours to spend in Hampshire, here are some suggestions:
- Visit Winchester Cathedral: This stunning cathedral is steeped in history and is definitely worth a visit. It will take at least an hour to explore properly.
- Explore the Great Hall: Located in Winchester, the Great Hall is home to the famous Round Table of King Arthur. You can also see some beautiful medieval architecture here. Plan to spend 45 minutes to an hour here.
- Take a stroll through the New Forest: The New Forest offers beautiful scenery and a chance to see some of the area's famous ponies. You could take a short walk and see some sights in less than an hour.
- Visit the Jane Austen's House Museum: Located in Chawton, this museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the life of one of England's most famous writers. You'll want to spend at least an hour here.
- Explore the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard: If you're interested in maritime history, this is the place for you. The dockyard is home to the HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Museum, among other attractions. Plan to spend 2-3 hours here to see everything.
