If you have 2 days to spend in South Oxfordshire, here are some suggestions:
- Visit the historic town of Henley-on-Thames, known for its annual Royal Regatta and beautiful riverside walks. Allow 2-3 hours to explore the town and its surroundings.
- Explore the grounds of Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site and birthplace of Winston Churchill. You could easily spend a full day here with the palace, gardens, and exhibitions.
- Take a walk or cycle along the Ridgeway National Trail, which passes through South Oxfordshire and offers stunning views of the countryside. Plan for at least half a day to do a portion of the trail.
- Visit the picturesque village of Goring-on-Thames and take a stroll along the river. 1-2 hours would be enough time to explore the village and its surroundings.
- For a unique experience, take a hot air balloon ride over the Oxfordshire countryside. This would take around 3-4 hours including preparation and the flight itself.
