If you have 2 days to spend in the town of Renfrew, there are a few activities you can enjoy:
Day 1:
- Visit the historic Renfrew Parish Church, which dates back to the 12th century. It should take around 1 hour to explore.
- Take a stroll through Robertson Park, which has beautiful flower gardens and a pond. This should take no more than 30 minutes.
- Check out the nearby Braehead Shopping Centre, which has over 100 shops and restaurants. You could easily spend a few hours here.
- Visit the Paisley Abbey, which is about a ten-minute drive from Renfrew. It's a beautiful, historic abbey that should take 1-2 hours to explore.
Day 2:
- Take a walk along the River Clyde and enjoy the views. This can take as little or as much time as you like.
- Visit the nearby Glasgow Science Centre, which has interactive exhibits and planetarium shows. You could easily spend half a day here.
- Explore the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, which has exhibits on art, history, and natural history. This should take around 2-3 hours.
As for places to stay, there are several hotels in the area, including the Normandy Hotel and the Glynhill Hotel and Leisure Club.
