- Explore the Colne Valley Museum, which offers a unique glimpse into local life in the 19th century. The museum includes reconstructed cottages, a schoolroom, a clog-maker's workshop, and more. You can easily spend a couple of hours here.
- Discover the Huddersfield Art Gallery, which houses an impressive collection of British art and design. Admission is free, and you could spend an hour or two browsing the collections.
- Take a trip to Castle Hill, a prominent landmark that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The hill is home to an ancient monument as well as a visitor center and a cafe. Allow a few hours for this, depending on how much walking you want to do.
- If you're interested in industrial history, check out the National Coal Mining Museum for England, located in nearby Overton. The museum offers a glimpse into life as a miner, with exhibits and tours of the underground mines. Plan on spending at least half a day here.
