This is a stunning Gothic church and one of the largest parish churches in the UK, with a history dating back to the 13th century. It's free to enter, but donations are welcome. Allow at least 2 hours.
A large green space with stunning views of the town and the surrounding countryside. There's a golf course and a racecourse, and you can also see the famous Beverley white horse carved into the grass. Walking around the Westwood can take 1-2 hours.
Beverley has a great selection of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as some interesting historical buildings. Don't miss Beverley Guildhall, the Black Mill and the Flemingate Shopping Centre. Allow at least half a day.
The river runs through Beverley and there are some lovely walks to be had along its banks. Look out for the Beverley Beck, which used to be an important trading route, and the scenic Beverley and Barmston Drain. Walking along the river can take 1-2 hours.
