What Should I Do For One Week In Wokingham?

If you have 7 days to spend in Wokingham, there are plenty of things to do and see. Here are some suggestions:

Day 1:

Start your trip in the Market Place, the heart of Wokingham's town centre. From here, take a leisurely stroll down the High Street and explore the local shops and cafes. Spend some time at the Wokingham Town Hall, which is used for ceremonies, exhibitions, and events, and visit the Wokingham Library. In the evening, head to @The Bear to enjoy traditional British food and drinks.

Day 2:

Visit the California Country Park that has a 100 acre lake suitable for walking and picnicking. You can take a boat out for a peaceful ride on the lake. The park has a cafe, playgrounds, and picnic tables, making it the perfect spot to spend a relaxing day.

Day 3:

Wokingham has a rich history, and you can learn about it by visiting the Wokingham Museum. This small but informative museum displays the history of Wokingham and the surrounding areas, with exhibits showing the town's development over time.

Day 4:

Take a trip to Dinton Pastures Country Park which has an extensive network of paths for walking and cycling and a play park suitable for the young ones. There are picnic tables and a cafe for refreshments.

Day 5:

Take a trip to Crowthorne Woods, an excellent spot for walking and hiking within Wokingham. There are many different trails to choose from, depending on your skill level. The woods are a beautiful and peaceful place to spend time, and you'll be able to see a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Day 6:

Visit the Look-Out Discovery Centre at Swinley Forest which has interactive science exhibits for children. The centre also boasts a miniature train, a play area, and a cafe.

Day 7:

On your final day, head out to Windsor which is only a short drive away from Wokingham. Visit Windsor Castle, take a stroll along the Long Walk, and enjoy the town's many shops and restaurants.

For accommodation during your stay, consider the Cantley House Hotel or the Coppid Beech Hotel which both offer comfortable rooms and excellent amenities.
