If you have a week to spend in Preston, there are many things to do to keep you busy:
- Visit the Harris Museum and Art Gallery - This museum has free admission and is home to a variety of artwork and artifacts. Plan to spend at least 2 hours here.
- Go to Avenham and Miller Parks - These parks are located next to each other and offer beautiful gardens and walking paths. You could easily spend half a day here.
- Explore the Ribble Steam Railway - Take a ride on a historic steam train and learn about the history of the railways in the area. This will take around 2 hours.
- Check out the Preston Guild Wheel - This is a 21-mile cycling and walking route that takes you through many of Preston's parks and green spaces. You could spend a full day here if you wanted to complete the whole route.
- Visit the Samlesbury Hall - This historic manor house has been around since the 14th century and offers guided tours and events. Plan to spend around 2 hours here.
