What Should I Do For One Week In Newquay?

If you have a week to spend in Newquay, there are plenty of things you can do!

Beaches:

Newquay is famous for its stunning beaches, so if the weather is nice, you should definitely take advantage of them! Fistral Beach is the most well-known and is ideal for surfing, while Crantock Beach is perfect for a more relaxed day out. Watergate Bay is great for kite-surfing and offers some fantastic views. It's worth noting that most of these beaches have cafes and restaurants nearby so you can easily spend the whole day there.

Surfing:

Newquay is known as the surfing capital of the UK, so if you've ever wanted to learn, this is the place to do it! There are plenty of surf schools in the town and most offer lesson packages. Depending on how many you take, you could spend anything from a few hours to a few days learning to surf.

Coasteering:

If you're looking for something a bit more adventurous, coasteering is a great option. This involves exploring the coastline around Newquay by climbing, scrambling, and jumping into the sea. There are a few companies that offer coasteering tours, usually lasting around half a day, so it's a good option if you want to try something new.

Attractions:

If you need a break from the beach, there are also plenty of attractions in the town. The Blue Reef Aquarium is always popular, as is the Newquay Zoo. If you're interested in history, the Trenance Cottages are worth a visit, as is the Huer's Hut in Newquay Harbour. Most attractions will take 1-2 hours to visit.

Accommodation:

There are plenty of accommodation options in Newquay, from luxurious hotels to budget hostels. If you're looking for a central location, try somewhere around the town centre or Fistral Beach. Alternatively, if you're looking for something quieter, try the neighbouring villages of Crantock or St Agnes.
