1 Day In Saltash

If you have 24 hours to spend in Saltash, there are plenty of things to do to make the most of your time:

• Take a walk along the waterfront: The River Tamar runs through Saltash, and there are lovely views to be had from the waterfront. Spend an hour or two strolling along, taking in the scenery.
• Visit Saltash Heritage Museum: This museum is a great way to learn about the history of the town. You can easily spend an hour or two here.
• Explore Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park: This beautiful estate is just across the river from Saltash, and is well worth a visit. Allow at least three or four hours to explore the house and grounds.
• Take a trip to the National Marine Aquarium: This aquarium is located in nearby Plymouth, and is just a short drive or train ride away. You'll want to allow at least two hours to see everything.
• Try the local cuisine: Cornwall is known for its delicious food, so be sure to try some of the local specialties while you're in town. Pasty shops are a particular local favorite.
